The Star Snooker Academy in Sheffield is home to a number of resident professional snooker players. With this full-day experience at the Academy you will learn about the history and theory of the game of snooker and be trained by a professional World Snooker Grade-A Coach. Enjoy hands on experience with one to one sessions as your coach takes you through everything you need to know. This experience will enable you to improve your techniques in one fun-filled day of snooker strategy and training. Suitable for all levels and abilities; if you’re an avid snooker player looking to improve your skills then this is the experience for you. The academy has over 20 years experience looking after junior and overseas snooker players and world champions regularly use the venue with its state-of-the-art practice facilities. Included in your day is a three-course lunch with refreshments and at the end of the day you will be presented with a certificate of achievement.
Upon arrival at the Academy you will be met by your World Snooker Coach who will be your instructor for the day. You will be given a briefing on the history and theory of the game before being issued with all of the equipment needed. You will then head to one of the ten full size professional tournament tables used by world class players for your first one to one coaching session before breaking for a three-course lunch. After lunch you will head back to the table for more practice and training. At the end of your experience you can review your day's activity with a short debriefing session with certificate presentation. You will also receive a personalised signed photocard of the current Masters champion Ding Junhui and there may also be a photo opportunity with a resident player so don't forget to bring your camera.
